I have just finished watching and reading the play Romeo and juleit by Shakespear.and after reading it and watching this play i think that Shakespear is trying to teach us that young love can lead to bad things such as fighting, family drama/problems, and death.
In the play Remeo and juliet, romeo has some problems with juliets cousin who is tybalt. And when tybalt finds out about how romeo and his cousin Juliet have a thing going on with each other. it doesnt turn out good. Tybalt gets ferious and wants to fight romeo. Tybalt goes looking for romeo where romeo and his friends usually hang out. When tybalt arrives where he thinks romeo might be romeo isnt there. But romeos friend mercutio is there along with romeos cousin and friends. TYbalt and mercutio exchange words with one another before romeo appears. And when he does this is what romeo says to mercutio befoe going up to romeo "well peace be with you, sir, here comes my man". [Act.3.Sc.1]. This shows that tybalt wants no body else but romeo and is not looking to start trouble with anyone else but romeo at this point. Tybalt walks up to romeo and says "Romeo, the love i bear thee can afford no better theme than this: thou art villian". Act.3.Sc.1. This means that tybalt hates romeo so much that he sees him as a villian, And this is just because romeo and juliet are in love with each other. Right after these words are said romeo and tybalt start to fight.
Another problem in romoe and juliet is family problems. For example "This is the matter- Nurse-give leave a while, we must talk in secret,-Nurse-, come back again, I have remembered me. Thous knowst my doughter of a pretty age. [Act.1.Sc.3]. This shows that the mother of juliet relies on the nurse too much. She relies on the nurse to take care of her own doughter all the time and she probably cant and doesnt feel comfortable alone with her own doughter. at first she wants to talk to her dougther in private but then calls the nuse back. why would she do that. she sent the nurse away for a reason because she probably had something imporatns to tell her doughter. But then she porbaly thought about what her doughter would do after she told her. So she wanted the nurse there jusst in case things got out of hand.
Another thing that young love could lead to is death. Sometimes love is so strong that people are willing to die for one another. And thats what happend with romeo and juliet. After romeo was banished juliet was really upset. So she went and got a drink that would resemble her dead. But she wouldnt really be dead it would just like that way. Once romeo found out about juliets death he hurried his way back to town to go see her one last time. Romeo also had a drink like juliets but if he drunk his he would be dead for good. His last words before he drunk the drink was "Heres to my love [drinking] O thee apothecary, thy drugs are qucik, this with a kiss i die". Before he died he gave her one last kiss and then drunk the poison.[Act.5.Sc.3].He couldnt handle living with out her so he killed himself. But right after he drunk the poison juliet woke up and found him dead. She was extemely upset when she saw him. So she decided to kill herself as well. she took his knife and right before she stabed herself she said "o churl, drunk all, and left no friendly drop tp help me after! i will kiss thy lips"[Act5.Sc.3]. Right after she said this she stabed herself and killed herself and tbey were both dead laying there.
In the end shakespear was trying to teach us all the things young love leads to and could couse in peoples lives. And in the end the biggest thing young love lead to is death.
