brooklyn nine.

     The book "The brooklyn Nine" is about differnt stories having to do with the sport baseball. Each chapyer has a different story relating to baseball. Each stroy is conected because it has to do with the same family, the Schneider family. But each chapter is about a different generation of the schneider family and what baseball ment to them and how it affected their lives. Chapters go all the way back to the 1800s and to present day.
      In one of the chapters it goes back to civil war time. and the mane character is Luis. Luis is a uniona soldier figthing for the Red-legged devils. Luis loves baseball. He careies around a baseball that is really importaant to him. His father sent it to him. He caries it around with him all the time. His father would of been a pro baseball player but he didnt make it becuase he messed up his leg in an explosion as a fire fighter. The baseball means so much to Luis. During battle against the confederates luis lose the ball. And right before he lost it he was supposed to be heading back home to brooklyn. But thats not all he lost. His friend Stuart's was shoot during battle. Luis had feeling he was still alive. So he went back to the battle feild to find his friend and his ball.
     Somethings bring people closer together. And in this case it was baseball. Luis and Stuart were close friends who liked the sport baseball. Luis and Stuart would play basbeall all the time together. And this is what made Luis risk his life not only for his fathers ball. But for a really good friend.
